We offer Billet shot blasting machine to shot blast billets 2 inches (50 mm) to 10 inches (250 mm) and legth 4 meter to 6 meter. Mechanical shot blasting has many proved advantages over pickling. The blast surface is ideally suitable subsequent operation, the finish surface is completely free of scale, dust and chemical deposit, shot blasting gives uniform silver matt finish.

Shot blasted billets helps in inspection for defects like cracks accurately at faster rate with removal of the mill scale, pin holes and other surface defects in the billets are more readily visible to the grinders.

Fig. 1 shows billet shot blasting machine. The shot blasting machine removes mill scale and rust from steel billets, enabling visual inspection to detect surface defects. This will eliminates skin grinding of entire billet. The billet are placed on inlet roller conveyor and pass through blast zone, wheels are located as required to strike all surface of the billet uniformly. At the exit end clean billets drops on to storage rack. |
